I love hiking…. And that too in an awesome place through the forest…., climbing the pretty giant rocks…. It was the best adventurous journey….
Last week, I went to Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio. I also got chance to see the beautiful Brandywine falls….
Let me share my experience with you guys….
Brandywine falls
Isn’t it fascinating to watch the beauty of falls???
This 65 foot tall Brandywine falls is a treat to watch for those who love hiking around the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
It is located in 8176 Brandywine road in Sagamore hills township. We can reach to the Brandywine falls by a wooden board walk.
I think its better not to visit the place in weekends since it will be crowded. You have to check the weather conditions of the place before the visit. Because in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, things will change drastically in different seasons. So you should be aware of what to expect.
Ledges Trail

There are different types of trail walks in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We preferred Ledges trail walk.
This trail passes through woodlands, wetlands, Stepping stones and huge rocks. You must wear hiking shoes, otherwise it will be difficult to walk through some areas.
It was an amazing experience to climb the rocks. I loved it…. Nature have made beautiful images which is a visual treat for your eyes. But i recommend to visit the place during the fall season.
Ledges trail extend to 1.8 miles loop which may take 1.5 hours for hiking. And in the top, we can see the overlook, where the whole forest area can be captured at a glimpse.
They have differentiated the trails with wooden boards to make our journey easier.
The trail is not accessible to those having mobility issues. It is located at Virginia Kendell Area of the park. You can increase your path by hiking through other trails which is connected to Ledges trail. It depends on your strength.
Things to remember before visiting Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Hiking shoes
This is very important for your safety. There are so many accidents happening without proper preparations for hiking. So take care of yourself.
Maps
You must have a printed map or a digital map downloaded in the phone. Many people felt difficulties to get outside from the trail walk without maps.
Do you have any hiking experiences???
